Brandon Santos - BA, Clinical Intern

Brandon is currently working on his Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling at Northwestern University, graduating in 2024. He had earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Illinois at Springfield. His experience with education and therapeutic settings gave him the interpersonal skills necessary for working well with clients.

Brandon is entirely fluent in Spanish, hoping to open up more opportunities for the members of the Latin American/Hispanic communities to seek out mental health services, both through removing the stigma behind mental health in the community and providing ease of access to services through financial assistance.

He aims to work with the client to meet their needs, assessing them properly to attain feasible goals. Having learned trauma-informed care techniques through his previous experience working at a therapeutic school, he will ensure the client feels comfortable, understood, and reassured throughout the entire time he works with them.

Brandon is committed to expanding mental health practices beyond what is currently out there. His experience with multicultural counseling through coursework and experience has ensured his mind stays open to individuals of all backgrounds. He has a passion for individuals with ASD, having spent the past 3 years working with special education programs providing assistance to students.
