Danny Ross - LCSW

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I received my undergraduate degree in Social Work as well as my Graduate Degree. I graduated from New Mexico Highland University with my Master of Social Work with a clinical concentration in 2014. My background prior to becoming a therapist has been in several different careers. I spent almost 10 years in the United States Marine Corps, 17 years working within the communications field, and 12 years working with the Department of Homeland Security. Since working as a Clinical Social Worker, I have worked with children (8-12), adolescents (12-17), and adults (18+). Most of my experience has been dealing with addictions, anxiety, depression, abuse and neglect, domestic violence, behavioral problems, anger, self-esteem, self-worth, stress, communications, family issues, Trauma/PTSD, veteran issues, and first responder issues. My approach has been “problem-focused, solution-oriented”.

My clinical focus is person-centered, problem-focused, and solution-oriented, using a variety of approaches:

  • ACT, Acceptance, and Commitment Therapy

  • CBT, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

  • CPT, Cognitive Processing Therapy

  • DBT, Dialectical Behavior Therapy

  • MI, Motivational Interviewing

My goal is to help you uncover and understand the cause, if possible, and find the best solution for you at this time, but to continue to find the best for you moving forward. I believe that individuals have the ability to manage symptoms, by learning to understand the cause of the symptoms. You may not be able to control them, but you can learn to manage them successfully and learn to have the life you want and deserve. You are resilient; let me help you find a way to heal on your journey of life.
