Lisa Garcia – MSW, LCSW

​

Lisa Garcia is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She received her undergraduate degree in Justice Studies and Child Advocacy Studies from Northeastern Illinois University. She received a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago-Jane Addams School of Social Work. Throughout college, Lisa has completed several internships including working with survivors of Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault. Lisa has extensive experience working with the Department of Children and Family Services including investigations, foster care, and intact family services. Lisa has experience working with children who have been victims of abuse and neglect, adults who are a court order to engage in services, and adolescents with behavioral issues. Lisa has experience supervising graduate students working towards their social work or counseling degree; as well as supervising those who are working towards accruing clinical hours to take their board exam. 

 

As a therapist, Lisa hopes to create a safe space for individuals to open up and grow in their mindset. Lisa believes in being honest and transparent. Lisa recognizes that having uncomfortable conversations can be difficult and she hopes to provide guidance, support, and strength to individuals to be able to move forward.
