Marina Borrero – Clinical Intern

Marina is currently completing her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at St. Bonaventure University and will be graduating in 2022. She has completed two rotations with clients in a private practice setting ranging from late teens to adulthood and has found a passion for young adults.

Through a person-centered lens, she utilizes various techniques and has found an alignment with Gestalt Theory. This theory views the human mind and behavior as a whole. Having this holistic approach, allows space to make connections to the complex layers of ourselves by processing the here and now.

Marina believes therapy should be a collaborative process to guide clients to increase self-awareness, gain new perspectives, and increase personal strengths to have a more meaningful life experience. She believes everyone should have a safe and healing place to work through life's difficulties and she looks forward to fostering that environment for you.
