“Every human life contains a potential.”
~ Carl Jung
What does potential mean? It is the human capacity to discover our own capacity for change to lead a happy and more fulfilled life. However, sometimes it is a challenge to see our potential for change.
As a counselor, I will support your every step of the way to find your powerful potential within and create positive change for yourself, your family, and your loved ones.
With my strengths-based approach, I seek to empower you to find pathways to wellbeing and healthy relationship! I use Trust-Based Relational Therapy (TBRI), Theraplay), Play therapy (for the youngest), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectic Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, Person-Centered Care, and Adlerian theory, among many other techniques. I am used to working with substance use issues being a CADC (Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor).
I have experience working in the field of human communication for over twenty years. In the past, I have worked in a community mental health agency, providing services for individuals, groups, and families.
My passion is working with children and their families! I support everyone in your family, from young children, adolescents, young adults, parents/ caregivers, and the family as a whole. Coming from an international background and life experience, I will counsel from a multi-cultural and ethnic-aware approach.
Currently, I am participating in The Theraplay Institute practicum, working towards my certification.
