Faya Kacos- Shiu, LCSW CCTP ll

Faya Kacos- Shiu is a compassionate and dedicated social work professional with a Master's degree in Social Work from Dominican University. With a specialization in solution-focused and trauma-focused therapies, she has a strong commitment to supporting individuals between the ages of 3 to 60 years old.

​

Throughout her career, Faya has worked extensively with adolescents and adults who have experienced a range of challenges, including Chronic Mental Illness, Domestic Violence, Physical and Sexual Abuse, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), and Anxiety. Her goal is to provide a safe and empathetic space for healing and growth, empowering individuals to overcome their obstacles and regain control of their lives.

To further enhance her therapeutic approaches, Faya has received training in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), Flash Therapy, and First Responder Therapy. Faya is also a certified clinical trauma professional. These techniques allow her to effectively address trauma-related symptoms and provide targeted support during difficult times.

 

Faya firmly believes in the power of collaboration and strives to work closely with my clients to develop personalized treatment plans that meet their unique needs. By combining evidence-based practices with a warm and supportive approach, I aim to facilitate positive change and help individuals achieve lasting well-being.
