Living Pono Counseling specializes in psychotherapy, collaborative services for adults, children, couples and families. Our priority is to help our clients feel safe while addressing life’s toughest issues so that they can flourish in daily life. We strive to find lifelong solutions and help lasting improvements to your life.
Therapy can be extremely helpful and fulfilling, but also requires active involvement both in and out of session to be most effective. Changing thought patterns and emotional reaction or behaviors are based on honesty and openness. Deciding to partake in therapy is a very personal decision and can promote healthy life habits, improved communication, stability in relationships and healthy stress levels.
Your first therapy session will be considered consultation and will be based on the challenges that lead you to make the appointment, general information about yourself, your current life situation and setting obtainable and sustainable goals. At the end of the session, we will give you initial recommendations and guidance for your future sessions.
Sessions are 55 minutes in length and are scheduled for once a week. We will collaborate on a treatment plan that incorporates effective strategies for current and future health.
