Jennifer Goss –  MA, NCC, LCPC, CCTP

“Happiness can be found even in the darkest of times. If one only remembers to turn on the light.”  While you may not see hope or a light at the end of your tunnel, I do. I will hold onto your hope and help you turn on your light.

Licensed since 2011, Jennifer earned her Master's Degree in Community Counseling from Argosy University in Schaumburg, IL.  Upon graduating, Argosy accepted her into the Counselor Education and Supervision Doctoral Program, followed up in 2019 with her Ph.D. Training in Counselor Education and Supervision at Adler University, Chicago., IL.

Jennifer works with children (2-12), adolescents (13-18), young adults (19-24), adults, families, and couples, and has run many teen support groups, personal growth groups, and assertiveness training groups.

Jennifer also completed two internships as a Legal Advocate and a children’s Counselor at two different women’s domestic abuse shelters while pursuing her undergraduate and graduate degrees. There, she was tasked with providing the shelter staff, interns, and volunteers with child and adolescent trauma training. She comes from private practice in Wisconsin where she facilitated family therapy and couples’ therapy with the goal of working on communication and problem solving while supporting each individual member in a safe and fair environment.

Jennifer helps others to be their best self with confidence and security in a supportive and empowering space. After all, you are trusting her with your innermost thoughts, where together you can create awareness to move forward.

Jennifer relocated to Illinois to be closer to family, and in her free time loves to be outdoors in any way possible.  Hobbies include cooking, trying new restaurants, traveling, reading, movies and tv shows, and most of all, taking her fluffy dog wherever she can.
