Lafay Presberry - M.A., LPC, NCC

Lafay Presberry is a Licensed Professional Counselor and nationally certified counselor (NCC). She obtained a Master of Arts in Clinical & Counseling Psychology from Concordia University, and she is currently a fourth-year student in the Doctor of Psychology program at Capella University.

Lafay has experience working with individuals, couples, and Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) populations; specifically, adolescents aged 16 - 19 and adults aged 20 - 55 years old on life and career transitions, mental health, substance, and therapies for recently incarcerated individuals.

Lafay believes that “one of the biggest misconceptions about therapy is that someone must be in crisis to need it. I hope to aid in altering that perception by influencing people to seek therapy as a means of sustaining healthy mental wellness. Entering therapy is a big decision, where clients share a vulnerable and personal part of themselves, which is a sign of their personal strength. Picking the right professional to assist with guiding them toward self-actualization is another”.
