I am a graduate student pursuing my Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Concordia University Chicago. My background has inspired this transition as well as strengthened my ability to remain calm under pressure, communicate with empathy, assess complex situations, and provide compassionate support during times of crisis.

As a Clinical Mental Health Counseling Intern, I am committed to creating a safe, respectful, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered. I believe in meeting each person where they are and working collaboratively to help them develop practical coping strategies, build resilience, and achieve their personal goals. 

My educational background includes a Bachelor of Science from Western Illinois University where I double majored in Law Enforcement and Justice Administration as well as Psychology. I have been committed to serving my community through past work at teen crisis centers, public education, and as  coordinator of my agency's peer support program. I am bilingual in Spanish and try to integrate culture in understanding others. In my limited spare time I enjoy going to live music shows, watching sports, and going to the forest preserve with my family.  I look forward to embracing this new chapter with a continued commitment to helping others.
