Julianna Novelo

Intern

Hi there, I’m Julianna

I am a therapist-in-training, currently pursuing my Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Concordia University Chicago, with an expected graduation in August of 2026. I have prior experience working with children and families, where I helped them navigate trauma, abuse, and difficult life situations. In this work, I used trauma-informed and client-centered approaches to provide support, guidance, and a safe space for healing. These experiences strengthened my passion for helping individuals build resilience and develop healthy coping strategies.

I strive to provide clients with accessible care and empower them to feel seen, heard, and supported. I believe it is essential to create a safe and collaborative environment where clients feel comfortable exploring their challenges and strengths, and I look forward to working alongside individuals from diverse backgrounds as they move toward healing and personal growth.

THE LIVING PONO APPROACH

in life, Pono stands for righteousness and balance

In Hawaiian, if a person is living Pono, it means that they have struck the right balance within themselves, with other things, places, and the people in their lives.

We take that same approach when helping you to grow.
